I noticed a small bug in GedGap, when editing the research plan, it is possible to set research as complete even though the missing birth, death or research exhausted flags have already been set.
The correct behaviour is;
- When you set Missing Birth, Death or Research Exhausted as on, the Research Complete flag (if set, not pending) will be cleared,
- Conversely, if you set Research Complete as done, any Missing Birth, Death or Research Exhausted flags (if set, not pending) will be cleared.
- Missing Birth, Death or Research Complete pending has no impact on other flag settings.
The idea behind this is that if you identify that vital sources are still required as evidence to support the birth date (for example), then the research can not be flagged as complete. If maybe flagged as pending since you may have identified in your research plan some possible sources of evidence you wish to follow up.
This bug has been fixed and will be available in the next update.
